Adeel was born and raised in the Twin Cities, MN and is a die-hard Minnesota sports fan. He is passionate about new technologies and is a self-learner who taught himself how to take apart and fix iPhones. During his undergraduate studies, he researched novel treatment strategies for LVAD driveline infections and went on to Penn State for medical school. There, he continued working in a translational research lab ultimately leading to a publication in Science. During his time in Hershey, PA, he co-founded the Penn State Journal of Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgical Society before coming to Michigan for his surgical training. Outside of the hospital, Adeel enjoys lifting weights, playing basketball, and discovering new restaurants
