Ethnically Ahiska Turkish. In 2005 came to United States as a refugee from Russia and Michigan was the state that accepted us,  supported my family, and became our second home. For my undergrad I majored in bachelor of science in nursing at Wright State University. Worked as a Registered Nurse after. Obtained my second bachelor of health science and masters  of health science  at Cleveland State University. Went to medical school at NEOMED in Ohio. Once I was done with med school I was determined to come back to Michigan and give back to my community. 
Some of my hobbies are painting and oral poetry.
